Culture Speaks
$7,500.00
Culture Speaks is a celebration of Fulani cultural identity, pastoral tradition, and feminine dignity. Two young women are depicted in side-by-side profile, carrying calabash gourds (korkeh) upon their heads decorated with indigenous linear patterns. Adorned in hand-beaded necklaces, dangling earrings, and woven wrappers in serene blues, sunny yellows, and emerald greens, their calm, resolute expressions convey pride and quiet strength. Faint typographic collaged transfers ("MEMORY", "PROFOUNDITY", "What success means") peer through the painted layers, initiating a thoughtful dialogue between ancestral preservation and the socioeconomic narratives of the modern African continent.
