Emmanuel Kazadi (b. 1995, Atlanta) is a Congolese painter, raised in Paris, France, and a Fine Arts graduate of Hofstra University. His work functions as a "distortion of sight," utilizing a raw, instinctive application of oil to process the tension between opulent facades and the visceral reality of the witness.

Drawing on the narrative energy of African popular painting and the psychological grit of modern figurative masters, Kazadi’s canvases reject the polished for the urgent.
